Nico Verdonck 2009 Formula Le Mans champion receives trophy at Le Mans
Nico is currently assessing his options for 2010.
Saturday December 5th, Nico Verdonck 2009 Formula Le Mans Champion received his trophy from the organizers of the European Formula Le Mans Series during a spectacular ceremony at the historical Le Mans circuit. During this attractive event different prizes were awarded for the achievements of the various drivers within the European Le Mans Series. Nico received his prize in front of many race professionals and fans.
Nico Verdonck: “I couldn’t have asked for a better present on my birthday, it has been a special day. With all of the other champions present from the LMP1, LMP2, GT1 and GT2 categories, it is great to be a part of the international sports car family, especially as the first champion in the series. I took advantage of the presence of so many professionals that evening and had positive talks with several teams about 2010.”
Thanks to Nico’s European Formula Le Mans championship, the RACB ( Royal Automobile Club of Belgium ) has nominated Nico Verdonck for the RACB Belgian Driver of the Year Award, which will be unveiled Friday the 18th of December in Brussels.
